Women and Money
Tonight I want to talk about something I’ve been studying a really
long time. A topic that often stirs a lot of emotion in people. Something that
is often considered the root of all evil.
No, not women. Worse than that. Money.
I know money is important because it is one of the foundations of our society. Money
enables you to do things and go places. Our very existence depends on us having
enough money to feed ourselves. But you have to watch that you are not
overwhelmed by it. You cannot let it control you.
I know people who have become absorbed in making and hoarding money. Obsessing
about it can easily result in mental and
social problems. In fact, 90% of all crimes are directly or indirectly caused by money. The rest are caused by women.
But this badness can be mitigated by how you deal with money.
You need to understand it.
You should first understand its origins. Money is created
out of thin air at the whim of a banker. Bankers are most often women. She presses a button on his keyboard,
and lo and behold, R10bn is created. This has been occurring since the gold
standard was dropped in the 1930s. So since then, they adopted what I call the
debt standard instead. For every rand issued, a rand of debt was issued too.
Because money is so easy to make, it has resulted in a lot of wealth in society,
mostly in the bankers pockets.
The problem with this system is that the debt has interest
attached, which means that, because interest is always accumulating, there is
always more debt in society than money. So society can never repay its debts.
Hence we need growing numbers of poverty stricken people and bankruptcies to
balance the flow.
Its no wonder that people fear not having enough money. They
worry about it. Even more concerning, they tend to want to gather it up, and stockpile
it. This is a guaranteed recipe for mental illness. The reason is, if you have
a lot of money, weird things happen to you. For example, you suddenly become a
provisional taxpayer, You start having these funny friends just like yourself, that
is, greedy, and jealous of your money. The government starts showing an
unhealthy interest in your affairs. So the result is you start having to spend
a lot of time sorting out your affairs and looking after your money. You start
becoming impatient, nasty and unsociable. You may even become rich.
But there is something good about money That is that money,
like women, tends to devalue with time. Also, its expensive to keep. You get
taxed on the interest, you get taxed on capital gains, you pay VAT.
In other words, it makes no logical sense to keep money. So
how do you get rid of it? There are two ways. You either give it away, or spend
it. Giving it away is where the term “passing the buck” originated – you simply
pass the problems on to someone else and on top of that, they have tp pay
donations tax. A double whammy. Not very nice.
So its much better to spend it. But there again, you have to
be careful. The rule of thumb is to only spend it on things that will not
remain in existence on earth for more than a week at the most. If you do, that
thing you bought is most likely going to need to be washed, to be maintained,
and/or to be guarded against theft. So you’ve caused more problems for yourself
than you’ve solved. As Tyler Durden
famously said, the things you own end up owning you.
Therefore my advice to you is to spend it on something
immediately rewarding. A cigar. A beer. Or a woman.
None of these things are likely to last more than a week and
if you use them correctly they can give a lot of satisfaction. Unfortunately,
money can’t buy happiness. That sbeen proven by research. But research has also
shown that if your are successful in getting rid of it, the probability of your
being happy rises considerably.
So spend all your money. Enjoy it. And always keep in mind
that although women are often bad news, money is the greater evil…
