WUSA - WORKERS UNION OF SA
Mr TM, Comrades.
We, the workers, are being exploited! Why do we get so little money? Why do we get fired when we take time to rest or when we help ourselves to company property? Why do we have to work so hard?
Comrades, we, your leaders hear you. We hear what you want. And we will fight for you! We will fight the imperialist forces tooth and nail. We will not settle! You, The people have spoken.
You see the advantaged fatcats going past us to their jobs in their BMWs. While we have to walk or catch the taxi! They go to work in suits while we wear overall! How can someone work in a suit? They don’t work. We are doing the work but they are getting the money. That’s not fair!
Then they go to the factory floor where we are working and tell us to work harder. Then when we tell them what’s what they fire us. That’s not fair!
How come they get to sit all day in airconditioned comfort, in a soft chair with a computer and drink tea while we must work? That’s not fair!
How come they get to leave work in their car with a company laptop in their boot, but we must walk and have our packets searched by security? That’s not fair!
We have discussed the matter with the people and we have decided nothing but decent jobs are good enough. A decent job is a car to drive to work in. A decent job is an office and a computer. A decent job is decent pay and benefits.
If this is what you want then our union will fight for you. All you must do is leave your weak union and join us, WUSA! You must sign up today. When we have everyone as a member we will force the government to give us what is rightfully ours. A decent job for every one of us.
Imagine! Labour laws that make it illegal to fire anyone! Ever! A job for life! An office and a computer for everyone! BMWs for all!
You have seen that the government can do these things. It’s our government. You voted for them. But you didn’t vote to be fired. So now we must stand up and tell the government what we want. It’s time we got what is our right! What we voted for! What is fair and equitable!
Comrades, you see me arrive in a big black BMW 4x4. This car cost a lot of money. You can have one too. But you must sign up. Join me and let’s get what we want.
Comrades, I am handing out membership forms. Fill them in completely. Do not forget to fill in your bank account number and sign the on the bottom. We will deduct a small monthly stipend membership fee and we will make it happen. And for that small remittance you will get what you want. And so will I. Comrades, fill in the form now and pass it forward to our collection agents. Viva WUSA, Viva!
